John Šépka is a Czech architect leading Šépka Architekti studio based in Prague. Author of usually small projects and buildings in the Czech Republic, for which he’s received many awards and honors, including three nominations to the European Mies van der Rohe Award. In his approach Jan Šépka looks for phenomena: each project is based on a unique concept, often completely unrelated to architecture, inspiring the formal solutions or operationally of the future building. Consequently his architecture is very diverse visually and yet very stimulating. John Šépka is also a lecturer at the Faculty of Architecture at Prague’s České Vysoké Učení Technické.
