Aleksandra Zemke - educational designer. She has graduated in Conflict Resolution from the University of Amsterdam and from the Institute of Applied Social Sciences of the University of Warsaw. Since 2011 she has been running Smilemundo, a Barcelona-based NGO that develops innovative educational tools. She collaborates with institutions working in the field of local politics: United Cities and Local Governments, UNDP, UN – Habitat, Educating Cities, the Province of Barcelona, Urban Lab Gdynia. She creates educational programmes mainly connected with Agenda 2030, urban development and innovation in the field of social economy. The tools designed by her have received numerous awards, including the UN’s prestigious World Summit Youth Award, presented in Brazil to the creators of the best projects that use new technologies to promote sustainable development.
