DOROTA LEŚNIAK-RYCHLAK
Dorota Leśniak-Rychlak - PhD in Art History, editor-in-chief of Autoportret. Pismo o Dobrej Przestrzeni [Self-portrait: A quarterly on good space], published by the Małopolska Institute of Culture in Krakow. Founder and president of the Instytut Architektury Foundation. Curator and co-curator of many architectural exhibitions, including: Impossible Figures (Polish Pavilion at the 14th Venice Biennale of Architecture), Home at Last. The Polish House During the Transition (Warsaw Under Construction Festival, Museum of Modern Art). Initiator and editor of Polish publications from the canon of architectural theory and practice, among them Peter Zumthor’s Thinking Architecture (Krakow: Karakter, 2008), and Juhani Pallasma’s The Eyes of the Skin (Krakow: Instytut Architektury, 2012) and The Thinking Hand (Krakow: Instytut Architektury, 2016). Editor of the volume Teksty modernizmu. Antologia polskiej teorii i krytyki architektonicznej 1918–1981 [Texts of modernism. An anthology of Polish architectural theory and criticism 1918-1981] (Krakow: Instytut Architektury, 2018). In 2019, she published the book Jesteśmy wreszcie we własnym domu [Finally in our own home] (Krakow: Instytut Architektury, 2019), dedicated to the housing transition in Poland during the political and economic transformation period.
