Liliana Krzycka has graduated from the Faculty of Architecture of the Silesian University of Technology in Gliwice in the field of architecture and urban planning. From 2005 to 2010 she worked as an architect involved in projects of various scales and functions in Ireland, where she gained experience in broadly understood sustainable construction, including energy-efficient and passive buildings. Since 2010 she has been a member of menthol architects, a group of designers who explore different areas, from industrial design to architecture and urbanism. In 2017, the studio was among the ten most innovative architectural firms in Poland in the Innovation in Architecture survey organised by the Architektura-murator monthly. In her practice she considers it paramount to work with respect for nature in a way that will give joy to future users. She believes that sustainable development, i.e. thinking simultaneously about people and their environment, is the only answer to future challenges. For her, architecture is a special art – an art of social mission.

Liliana Krzycka will be a tutor of the DoFA '22 student design workshop.
