Prelegentka: Fokke Moerel (MVRDV, Holandia)

Fokke Moerel is an architect and partner at MVRDV and joined MVRDV in 1998. She leads projects with a focus on public and cultural projects, transformations and interior design. in the Netherlands, Eastern Europe, the Americas and the rest of Europe. She has been working with the studio for over 15 years and has completed award winning projects such as the Baltyk office tower in Poznan, the Book Mountain Library in Spijkenisse, Ragnarock museum for rock music in Roskilde and the Lloyd Hotel & Cultural Embassy in Amsterdam.

Currently she is overseeing the construction of Museum Boijmans van Beuningen’s public Art Depot in Rotterdam, the transformation and extension of a warehouse in Gothenburg and the mixed-use development Fabryczna offices in Lodz.

Fokke Moerel holds a Master degree in Architecture from the Academy of Architecture Rotterdam. She has taught at Harvard GSD, Cambridge, USA with MVRDV Director Nathalie de Vries, at Silpakorn University in Bangkok, Thailand and at the Academy of Arts, The Hague, Netherlands. She regularly lectures at international institutions and conferences worldwide.
